Timothy Surprise

Owner and Founder of Mae Fence Company

Timothy Surprise is a third-generation fencing contractor; everything he knows about the trade was taught by his grandfather, Joseph Keefe. Tim plans to continue the decades-long tradition by teaching his children the same values and skills that were passed down to him. 

Mae Fence Company was named after Tim’s daughter, and his son was named after himself. Hard work, integrity, and knowledge of the industry run deep in their family. The family business currently install thousands of fences a year and employ 50+ people in central Ohio. Tim’s mission is to manufacture, fabricate, build, and install the highest quality fences at an affordable price.

Adam Van Gorp

General Manager

As general manager of Mae Fence, Adam monitors the daily operations of the company. He grew up in a Dutch household and comes from a lineage rich in carpentry. As a result, he is especially well-versed in the fencing industry.

While not a blood relative, Adam has been a family friend for over 30 years and has watched the business grow since he was a child. He has long been considered an invaluable part of the Mae Fence family.

Before he officially joined our team, Adam laid the foundation to several successful startups. He has also facilitated growth for various companies in Miami, Florida, Northern California, Chicago, and Ohio.
